Professional artists and artists in training are invited to apply for a fall & winter residency in Barcelona to develop artistic projects using traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques.
Overview
La Maldita Estampa is a print studio and gallery in Barcelona created by artists to support artists developing contemporary printmaking projects. The residency offers fully equipped workshop space, gallery access, and artist support for international residents of any career stage.

Disciplines & Media
Open to artists working in art education, book arts, drawing, illustration, paper arts, performance art, printmaking, and visual arts using traditional and contemporary graphic techniques.

- Printmaking workspaces with glass inking tables, aquatint boxes, hot plates, metal plate shears
- Silkscreen and lithography studios
- Paper facilities: soaking sinks, tearing table, large sinks
- Darkroom (black and white), acid room, light tables, large exposure unit, washout room
- Printers and scanner
Application Requirements
Submit artist portfolio with brief project explanation (maximum 30 lines and 5 recent photographs in PDF format), proposed timetable with arrival/departure dates, and specification of techniques involved in the creative process. Send all materials to [email protected].

Residency Fee & Funding
