About
Overview
Small Town: Small Works is an open call exhibition showcasing artwork 15" or smaller by local artists living within a 15 mile radius of Woodstock, GA. The exhibition will be on view at the Reeves House Visual Arts Center from November 13, 2026 through January 2, 2027. An opening reception will take place on Friday, November 13th from 6:00pm–8:00pm.
Eligibility
- Artists must be 18 or older
- Must live within a 15 mile radius of Woodstock, GA
- Only original artwork accepted
- Works previously shown at the Reeves House will not be accepted
Artwork Requirements
- Maximum 15" in any direction (including frame) in height or width
- Up to 5 submissions per artist
- All artwork must be available for sale
- Works on paper and photographs must be framed and protected under glass, plexiglass, or other protective covering
- Gallery wrapped canvas or wood panel acceptable without frame but must have hanging hardware installed
- Wall hanging fabric works need a hanging device such as a casing sewn with a dowel or rod
- Sculptural work and freestanding pieces must be installation ready
- Artists may not substitute, alter, or withdraw accepted work
Hanging Hardware
- Accepted: Wire, D-rings, cleat
- Will NOT be accepted: sawtooth hangers, plastic frames, clip style frames
- Most hardware that comes on store-bought frames is not acceptable—refer to the linked 'Picture Frame Hanging Hardware' document for details
Entry Fee & Commission
- Entry fee: $15 for up to 5 submissions (non-refundable)
- Artist receives 60% of the sale price; Reeves House retains 40% of all sales (after processing, taxes, or fees, if applicable)
- Artists are responsible for transportation and delivery of work to and from the venue

Exhibition Details
Following each art purchase, the work on display will be gifted to the buyer. Another piece will then be taken out of storage and hung in that work's place. To aid in this rotation process, please aim to have all submitted work be similar in size. All work must be professionally presented and ready to hang/install upon delivery. Please note that there is a short turnaround time after acceptance to get artwork framed and installation ready.
Notification & Communication
All notifications will be sent by October 13th via email to the address provided on the application. Artcall.org automatically sends emails once a decision has been made. If you do not receive an email by that date, check your spam folder. You can also log in to artcall.org at any time to check the status of your submission. No phone calls please.
