Get matched →The Blue & White Invitational is a juried exhibition presented by the Holland Museum in collaboration with the Holland Area Arts Council. Inspired by the tradition of Dutch Delftware and the enduring visual language of blue and white design, the exhibition features contemporary work across a wide range of media.
Rooted in the Netherlands, Delftware is known for its bold cobalt palette, detailed patterns, and storytelling through everyday objects. This exhibition builds on that tradition, highlighting how artists continue to interpret and reimagine blue and white aesthetics today. Artists explore these ideas through color, pattern, material, and concept, sometimes referencing Delftware directly, and other times drawing more loosely from themes such as ornamentation, domestic life, cultural exchange, and reinterpretation of historical forms. The exhibition features work across a wide range of media and disciplines.
