BBK Frankfurt is organizing a major exhibition as part of World Design Capital Frankfurt 2026, featuring 19 artworks each interpreting one of the fundamental rights articles (1-19) of the German Basic Law. The exhibition will explore how dignity, freedom, equality, freedom of belief, freedom of expression, and the right to asylum are reflected in contemporary art and how perspectives on these rights are changing in a pluralistic, digital, globalized world.

- Closing date for entries: 22 May 2026
- Submission of finished works: by 14 August 2026
- Start of exhibition: 18 September 2026

Confirmed jury members are Oliver Wittershagen (lawyer), Andreas Greulich (art historian and gallery owner, Frankfurt), and Nadja Zweigler (art historian, artist, Frankfurt, BBK Frankfurt board member). Further personalities, including Justine Otto and Juli Zeh, have been invited. The jury's decision is binding; legal recourse is excluded.
