Bow Arts works with artist educators to deliver bespoke, innovative projects in schools and colleges. Artist Educators work collaboratively to create high-quality learning experiences that challenge and inspire young people and teachers.

Bow Arts is not currently accepting applications for new artists to join the pool of Artist Educators. Applications are being reviewed for the final round, and successful candidates will be contacted shortly.

For artists without prior experience working with young people, Bow Arts runs an annual Artist Educator Trainee Programme, recruiting 4-6 artists each summer. The programme includes supporting lead artists on projects, gaining skills in planning and evaluating learning projects, and group meetings with staff and lead artists. By the end, trainees will have experience in project planning, session plans, workshop delivery, and understanding school settings and curriculum contexts.

Artist Educators must have experience working with and leading projects for young people. An enhanced DBS certificate is required; you can apply through Bow Arts (at your cost) or provide one issued within the last three years.

  • Planning meeting: £55
  • Half Day Workshop: £99
  • Full Day Workshop: £198 a day
  • Projects vary from one-off sessions to weekly workshops across a term or academic year.
  • Half day rates apply for workshops under 3.5 hours.
