Artists-in-Residence

Overview

The international Artist-in-Residency Programme, established in 2007, is the largest studio programme in the Czech Republic. It offers creative residencies for cultural professionals including visual artists, curators, theoreticians and visual art theorists. The programme fosters dialogue between Czech and international art scenes, supports creation of new projects, and introduces international personalities to the domestic audience.

How it works

The programme operates on a reciprocal basis, working with several international partners. Czech artists are sent to partner institutions, and in return, artists from partner countries are hosted at MeetFactory. The program supports residents financially with a monthly artist fee, provides accommodation and a studio, and collaborates with the gallery programme.
