Overview
Kaaysá Art Residency invites artists from all disciplines to participate in this special 7th anniversary edition, celebrating seven years of creative exchange. Over 600 multidisciplinary artists have previously participated. The residency features the inauguration of two new spaces: Tupinambá Room (for dance, theater, circus, and music) and Tupiniquim Room (for video art and audiovisual projections).

- Film screenings in Sala Tupiniquim curated by Lucas Bambosi and Fernando Velasques
- Dance workshops in Sala Tupinambá led by Toshiko Oiwa Pires, Letícia Andra, Lu Favoreto, and Jorge Garcia, culminating in final presentation November 23
- Encounters with São Paulo curators for portfolio reviews and creative discussions

- Portfolio presentations and open discussions among residents

Facilities & Location
Kaaysá is situated on a 5,000 square meter area between the Atlantic Forest and Ocean in São Sebastião, Brazil, accommodating up to 25 creators at the same time. The residency is a 10-minute walk to trails leading to regional waterfalls and 15 minutes to Boicucanga beach and midtown.

- 140 square meter studio with big tables, wood machinery, ceramic wheel, kiln, and sound recording studio with guitar, electric guitar, bass, and musical instruments
Fee & Support
Contribution is U$ 1.800 (food and transport not included). This special edition includes lunch daily for all participants. The fee covers accommodation, production assistance, promotion of your profile on social media channels, and networking with other art-related people and platforms. The organization promotes encounters with curators, artists, cultural centers from the region, and visits to indigenous communities 30 minutes by car from Kaaysá.
Eligibility & Application
Application is free of charge and can be submitted in English, French, or Portuguese. No formal restrictions stated; open to artists of all disciplines, writers, and all creative people. The organization can provide a letter of acceptance if needed for sponsorship purposes.
