Get matched →Casa na Ilha is a retreat space in Ilhabela, the largest island in an archipelago on Brazil's north coast, 200 km from São Paulo. The island is an ecological paradise covered by Mata Atlantica (Atlantic rainforest) with unique fauna and flora, 73 beaches, and 27 waterfalls. Artists work in self-directed residencies with a tutor on-site 24/7 to discuss ideas and progress while respecting the artist's pace. Each session hosts 2–6 artists from different disciplines, fostering peer interaction and collaboration in common spaces.
Open to artists at any stage of career. Individual and group applications are accepted. Applications accepted in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
