Artgarten 2026 - Art Omi

Overview

Artgarten 2026 is Columbia County's popular arts camp for preschoolers. The program is limited to 12-14 children per session with two adult teachers and an assistant. Children ages 4 and 5 participate in daily art projects using a variety of media, nature exploration, open play, story time, and swimming, with snack and lunch times and morning/afternoon circle meetings. The large open-air tent headquarters and Sculpture & Architecture Park provide the backdrop for creative learning.

Session Dates

• Session 1: June 29–July 2 (no camp July 3) — AT CAPACITY, WAITLIST ONLY
• Session 2: July 6–10 — AT CAPACITY, WAITLIST ONLY
• Session 3: July 13–17 — AT CAPACITY, WAITLIST ONLY
• Session 4: July 20–24 — AT CAPACITY, WAITLIST ONLY
• Session 5: July 27–31 — AT CAPACITY, WAITLIST ONLY
• Session 6: August 3–7 — AT CAPACITY, WAITLIST ONLY

Eligibility

Children must be at least 4 years old at the time of the program. All sessions are currently at capacity and available on a waitlist basis only.

Swimming

Swimming occurs daily (weather permitting) in an in-ground pool in the backyard of Ledig House. A certified, experienced lifeguard is present at all times. Children are limited to the steps and shallow end (3 ft.) marked by a floating rope. Artgarten staff join children in the water. Non-swimmers have other activities available at the pool. Parents may provide personal floating accessories. Swimming procedures meet New York State Department of Health Children's Camp requirements.

Tuition

• All sessions except Session 1: $520
• Session 1: $415
• Aftercare (3–4:45 PM daily): $25 per child per day

Cancellation Policy

50% of total tuition is non-refundable. Cancellations made 21 days prior to session start are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 21 days prior are non-refundable.
