Individual professional artists, arts organisations, producers, and curators may apply for grants of €5,000–€10,000 to support the creation or presentation of new artistic work (exhibitions, performances, publications, or other initiatives) with public presentation in the Dublin City Council administrative area.

Project Grants support the creation or presentation of new artistic work within the Dublin City Council administrative area. Projects may include exhibitions, performances, publications, or other artistic initiatives involving professional artists.

Open to individual professional artists, arts organisations, producers or curators engaging at least one professional artist. A professional artist maintains an active artistic practice and is demonstrably engaged in and recognised within the professional field of their artform. The project must have public presentation in the Dublin City Council administrative area.

Applicants may request between €5,000 and €10,000. The grant may cover up to 70% of total project cost (excluding access costs). Applications must demonstrate that at least 30% of project income will come from sources other than this grant.

  • Artistic Ambition (40%): Artistic quality, ambition and originality; clarity of artistic concept; experience and suitability of artistic team
  • Engagement (20%): Plans for audience engagement; approach to diversity, accessibility and inclusion; relevance to Dublin communities
  • Feasibility and Delivery (40%): Realistic planning and delivery; appropriate partnerships or venues; financial viability and equitable artist payment
  • Application closing date: 12 noon, Wednesday 28 October 2026
  • Information session: Wednesday 16 September at 11:30am
  • Applicants notified by email of outcome

If successful, you will be required to comply with all relevant statutory requirements, local authority byelaws, and Child Protection policies where relevant, as well as the five key principles of the Governance Code for Community, Voluntary and Charitable Organisations. Grants of €10,000 or more require a current tax clearance certificate prior to first payment.
