The residency is designed to give artists uninterrupted time to develop new work while experiencing the landscape, culture, food, and community of the region.Selected artists will receive round-trip airfare, accommodation, and a $1,000 USD stipend for food and local transportation. Artists will have access to shared studio space, local support, and translation assistance when needed.The residency welcomes international artists working across disciplines including painting, mixed media, photography, film, sound, cyanotype, collage, and 16mm film. Japanese language ability is not required.Seto Art Residency is artist-led and focused on experimentation, exchange, and creating meaningful connections between visiting artists and the community of Akō.Three artists.
