A free educational webinar on Evidence-Based Art: A Practical Guide for Artists Entering Healthcare Spaces. Led by GK Rowe of Q7 Associates with support from Indy Arts Council, this session breaks down what "Evidence-Based Art" means and how artists can position their work for healthcare commissions.

  • Deadline: September 16, 2026

Participants will learn to explain the core framework of Evidence-Based Art including biophilia and mood-congruence theory; identify where research is strong versus evolving; position abstract and color-driven work within healthcare's decision-making language; understand what healthcare art committees screen for (subject matter, palette, scale, placement, infection control, patient population); and navigate the practical submission process for healthcare art opportunities.

GK Rowe is an experience designer, abstract painter, and Chief Experience Officer of Q7 Associates in Indianapolis. His research on Evidence-Based Art has been cited by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, and his abstract work is currently on exhibit at Reid Health's MacDowell Gallery in Color as Experience. He is the author of Wired for Experience, Stop Hammering a Bent Nail, and Corporate Guide to Art Placement, and is a member of the Society for Neuroscience.
