The Clay Studio Shop Artist Program - Opportunity

Overview

The Clay Studio Shop is the storefront gallery for The Clay Studio in South Kensington, Philadelphia. The shop features work from about 75 artists from across the country and includes a Featured Artist space with bimonthly exhibitions, a mug wall of 168 pieces, and a rotating Project Space pop-up studio.

Artist Responsibilities

• Delivery of approximately 20-50 pieces within three months of acceptance
• Maintain up-to-date artist biography and headshot on file
• Immediately notify Shop staff of any changes to contact information
• Timely delivery of work according to schedule established with Shop Manager
• Digital submission of Inventory Intake spreadsheet with each delivery
• Retail prices that match pricing in all other outlets and your personal website

Application Timeline

Applications are reviewed semi-annually in January and June. Notification will be made via email in February and July (beginning July 2024).

How to Apply

• Legal name, public name, pronouns
• Artist statement
• Resume or CV
• 5-10 images of recent work made within the past 3 years and representative of work you would send to the Shop
• Image list with dimensions, materials and pertinent methods, and retail price for each item
