The symposium aims to enable professional women artists to work on sculptural and installation art at Künstlergut Prösitz during these four weeks. The unique aspect of this scholarship is that it is specifically for women artists who are also mothers, allowing them to bring their children. Childcare is provided for children up to 12 years old during the four-week residency.
Künstlergut Prösitz is located on a former three-sided farm in a small Saxon village on the A14 motorway between Dresden and Leipzig. Extensive workshops are available, including clay and metal workshops, a plaster room, a spacious attic studio, a barn, and a courtyard for larger outdoor works. Each artist and her child/children will have a room with a small bathroom. Children are looked after by a local childminder.
The scholarship is open to women artists working in sculpture, plastics, installation, and object art. All forms of experimental work within these art genres are welcome.

Participants are selected by a jury based on submitted application documents, with artistic quality being the deciding factor. The jury consists of the previous year's scholarship holders and a curator (art historian), ensuring independence and providing jury experience for the scholarship holders.
