Chezale is a multidisciplinary teaching/performing artist and arts & cultural worker native to Pittsburgh, PA with Tucson, AZ being her home for most of her life. She has recorded and released two full-length studio albums with collaborations and features both nationally and internationally. She has served as a dance educator and mentor and practical dance instructor with the University of Arizona's Africana Studies and Hip-Hop Minor since 2016, and has served Arizona's West Valley as an arts and cultural administrator while completing her graduate degree in Dance Education. Following her recovery and healing journey as a spinal cord injury survivor, Chezale created Diverse Dance Arts: 'Dance expression for diverse beings that promotes confidence, liberation, well-being, community & visibility.'

'BREAK' is Chezale's first official choreographed, recorded and performed piece post-accident as a spinal cord injury survivor and wheelchair user. The solo was cathartic for her healing process and represents a returning to home after 30 years as a dance student, performer, instructor, and educator. Filmed in black and white at Danswest Dance Studio, the piece features Chezale performing fluid choreography in a wheelchair to music of her own composition.
