Overview

Tokyo Arts and Space (TOKAS), operated by The Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, offers artist-in-residence programs for international creators working in visual art, film, design, and architecture to stay, engage in creation, and conduct research activities in Tokyo/Japan.

Residency Dates

September 1–November 30, 2024
January 1–March 31, 2025

Duration & Outcome

3-month residency. Participants present work in an open studio and participate in a result exhibition planned for TOKAS Hongo in 2025. Number of participating creators: 3.

Facilities

Two shared studios (125㎡ and 48㎡) open 9:30am–10:00pm, equipped with Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Single-room accommodation provided.

Support Provided

Living space, airfare, living expenses (per diem), and fee for creative work/project.

Eligibility

Open to international creators in visual art, film, design, and architecture.
