The Arts Projects Grant, offered by Arts NT under the Northern Territory Government's Arts Grants Program, provides funding of up to 30,000 Australian dollars for projects that create, develop, present and promote Northern Territory arts and culture. The program supports artists, arts workers, community groups and organisations through initiatives that strengthen creative careers, community participation, cultural engagement and audience development.

  • EMPOWER: Professional development for NT artists and arts workers including research and development of new work, creation of original projects, skills development, mentoring and coaching, training, leadership development and sustainable career pathways.
  • CONNECT: Community participation and access including community arts projects, regional arts initiatives, activating creative spaces and community venues, and collaborative projects across sectors.
  • ENRICH: Showcasing NT arts and culture through exhibitions, performances, festivals, cultural events, publications, distribution of creative works and digital promotion.
  • Not eligible: arts organisations receiving more than 100,000 dollars annually through the Arts Grants Program
  • Not eligible: organisations seeking funding for ongoing operational activities
  • Not eligible: projects supporting the core planning, programming or operational costs of NT festivals or major events
  • Not eligible: organisations acting as an administering body when the activity is part of their annual program or core business
  • Applicants requesting more than 15,000 dollars who are not sole traders must apply through an eligible administering body

Arts NT does not provide full project funding. Applicants must demonstrate that additional funding sources are available to cover the total project cost. Budgets built entirely on this grant will fail.
