LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial participates in EMAP 2027, the European Media Art Platform's residency program, funded by Creative Europe. Artists, duos, and collectives can apply for a two-month production residency at one of 15 European institutions. The call covers digital art, multimedia, robotics, and bioart broadly—from immersive installations to biotechnology research, without prioritizing any single practice. In March 2027, LABoral will host the EMAP Networking Conference.

  • Artists, duos, collectives, and other forms of collaboration
  • EU residents or EU taxpayers, or residents of non-EU countries eligible to participate
  • PhD candidates accepted; undergraduate and master's students excluded
  • Emerging artists of any age and academic background encouraged
  • Each selected artist must work with at least one collaborator of their choice or one provided by the host institution
  • 4,000 € fellowship for the applying artist (includes accommodation costs)
  • 2,000 € fellowship for collaborating artist(s)
  • 4,000 € production budget
  • Accommodation provided by the host institution
  • Travel expenses covered within EU limits
  • Access to the host institution's facilities and/or laboratories
  • Invitation to the EMAP Networking Conference at LABoral in March 2027
  • Work produced may be exhibited in solo and group shows across Europe, entered into EMAP's permanent archive, and catalogued for 150+ international institutions; presentation grants available if selected
