About
Overview
En Bajada is a countercultural art collective and space founded in 2018 dedicated to conceptual, emerging, and independent art. It functions as a platform for co-creation and exhibition, seeking to generate creative niches beyond national cultural hegemony. The collective resists established circuits and embraces precarity, self-management, recycling, and circular economy principles, positioning art as a pedagogical tool for centering decentralized voices.
Location & Space
The space occupies 130 m² on the second floor of an old residential building in central Bogotá, actively resisting gentrification dynamics. It operates as an office-workshop with a shared kitchen where clandestine dinners are held.
Available Techniques & Equipment
- Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Installation, Sculpture, Video Art, and Sound Art
- Printmaking press, stretchers, tools for ceramic modeling, pastels, video synthesis and mixing equipment, CRT televisions, soldering irons, and basic workshop tools

Coordination & Team
The collective is coordinated by Lina Alba, who directs the project with a focus on relational practices and production. Reach & Collaborations
The collective aims to convene a multiplicity of perspectives without distinction of age, gender, race, or religion, having developed projects, exhibitions, happenings, concerts, conceptual dinners, parties, voguing classes, film forums, radio broadcasts, and laboratories. It has collaborated with creators from Mexico, Peru, the United States, and China, as well as Colombian cities including Cali, Pereira, Ibagué, Barranquilla, and Pasto.
