Drawing from his personal experience as an artist and as a migrant suspended between multiple places, Arejdal evokes individual and collective memory through diverse media, including performance, installation, photography, video, sculpture, documentation, and sometimes language itself as a sculptural element. His works aim to interrogate boundaries: between the visible and the hidden, the private and the public, the individual body and the social body. For him, performance is not merely an artistic act but a rite of passage that reconnects the artist with his community and his geographical origins, while used objects—such as fabrics, old belongings, everyday tools, and even handicrafts—become material witnesses to the processes of exile and transformation. In this way, Arejdal engages in an artistic practice with both critical and ethical dimensions, where the aesthetic experience is inseparable from political and social awareness, working to redefine the meaning of artistic commitment within the contemporary Moroccan and global context.
