REPAIRE, in partnership with centre d'art actuel Bang and Culture Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, offers a workshop for artists seeking to rethink their relationship with living systems and integrate them into their practice. In the context of ecological upheaval, many artists are renewing their ways of creating, observing, and relating to their surroundings. This workshop moves from concepts to practice, exploring sensitive, situated, and pragmatic approaches to living systems. Through alternating theoretical reflections, collective exchanges, and field exercises, participants will experiment with new ways to nourish their artistic practice through observation, listening, and gesture.

By the end of the workshop, participants will understand principles of contemporary approaches to living systems; identify thinkers associated with these reflections, including Baptiste Morizot, Donna Haraway, Bruno Latour, and Vinciane Despret; integrate these ideas into their own artistic practice; and experiment with simple, situated approaches to creation linked to field-based work.
