Open call for professional artists and artist groups from the EU to propose artistic work(s) integrated into the new vocational school building for electrical engineering in Dresden. The work should establish a distinctive connection to the site and contribute through its artistic quality to user identification and enhance the spatial quality of the school.

Professional artists and artist groups resident in the European Union. Selection is a two-stage non-open competition with a preliminary EU-wide open application procedure.

Submit required documents in a single PDF (max. 10 MB) comprising a completed declaration form, proof of professionalism, documentation of artistic work/references/samples, and biography. Submit exclusively by email to [email protected]. No compensation is provided for Stage 1.

Eleven selected artists/artist groups (plus up to two alternates) will be invited to submit an artistic competition entry. Up to two works are planned for realization.

  • Prize money totaling 30,000 EUR available for the competition
  • First prize winner(s) may be commissioned for further planning and realization
  • Stage 2 participation fee: 3,800 EUR (gross) per complete, evaluable submission, including VAT and all ancillary costs
  • Realization budget: up to 330,000 EUR (including VAT) total for honorar and implementation costs for up to two works; prize money is credited to honorar

The entire procedure and realization are fully funded by EU funds (EFRE). Competition language is German.
