Rêves tastawayihk : futurités radicales et rituelles - REPAIRE

Overview

An intensive immersive workshop presented by Moe Clark, held on the unceded territories of the Algonquin and Kanien'kehá:ka nations. Participants will explore vocal, somatic, ritualistic and relational practices rooted in the body, voice, listening and place, drawing on tastawayihk principles and 2-Spirit perspectives. Through vocal improvisation, sound meditations, somatic practices, silence and body activations, participants will deepen their listening, presence and relationship to transformation within and between bodies.

Learning Objectives

• Explore corporeal, vocal and ritualistic practices in relation to territory
• Deepen listening to the body, voice, breath and silence
• Experiment with collective creation modes based on presence and reciprocity
• Nourish your practice from Michif, Nêhiyaw, 2-Spirit and Indigiqueer perspectives
• Reflect on connections between creation, memory, belonging, healing and collective liberation

Language and Accessibility

The workshop will be presented in English. Questions may be asked in French or English, with brief French translation support available as needed. The site is primarily accessible by car; participants must arrange their own transportation. Financial support is available for transport costs. Studio 303 and REPAIRE can facilitate carpooling among participants.

About the Facilitator

Moe Clark is a multidisciplinary artist, pedagogue, vocalist and Somatic Experiencing® practitioner. An artist with 2-Spirit and Métis identity from multiple backgrounds, Moe grew up on Treaty 7 territory in Calgary and is a member of the Métis Nation of Alberta. Currently based in Montreal (Tio'tiá/Mooniyang), Moe develops a practice at the intersection of singing, land-based arts, somatic practices, community organizing and ceremonial learning with Elders. Her work supports the resurgence of Indigenous languages, particularly Nêhiyawêwin and Michif, through singing, intergenerational transmission and collective healing. Iel also facilitates creation and care spaces for 2-Spirit, Indigiqueer, QTBIPOC and marginalized people.
