Overview
The 12th edition of the Emerging Digital Artists Award (EDAA) is Canada's award for critical experimentation in digital media. Submit screen-based works created with digital technologies that speak to the concerns, ethics, and constructs of virtual space.
Categories
- Still Image: Single image or series created through digital processes such as generative imagery, scanning, photo manipulation, illustration, graphics, or 3D renders
- Moving Image: Time-based work using digital processes including video, animation, machinima, and GIF art
- Screen-Based Interactive: Interactive artwork experienced on digital display, computer, tablet, or mobile phone such as game art and web art
- Extended Reality (XR): Virtual, augmented, or mixed reality work experienced through smartphone, tablet, headset, or 360-degree video
- Digital Installation: Multi-component, primarily screen-based work produced with digital technologies that engages audiences in physical space

Canadian artists within the first seven years of their professional careers.
