About
Overview
On Matter brings together ceramics and printmaking, both practices rooted in material and process. The exhibition explores how artists embrace the inherent qualities of their chosen media and how they preserve traces of their practice. This exhibition marks the reopening of the historic Star Store building and will include a Holiday Market, workshops, artist talks, and other programming.

Eligibility
Open to ceramic or printmaking artists who are currently working in or studying in the Northeast region of the USA: ME, VT, CT, NH, MA, RI, NJ, NY, PA, MD, DE.
Media & size requirements
- 3D work must not exceed 24 inches in any direction (24" H × 24" W × 24" D)
- 2D work must not exceed 30 inches in any direction (30" H × 30" W), including frame
- Works must arrive professionally matted/floated, framed, with appropriate hanging hardware; no sawtooth hangers
- Shipped work must have plexiglass for safer transit
How to enter
Submit 1–6 images of your work (minimum 1, maximum 6). Include 1 additional detail image per piece. Photos must be labeled as: FirstNameLastName_TitleofWork or FirstNameLastName_TitleDetail.
Application & delivery
Entry fee: $15 for three (3) entries. Application fee does not guarantee acceptance. Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from the exhibition, or in-person drop-off and pick-up.
