FACT is the UK's leading organisation for the support and exhibition of art and film that embraces new technology and explores digital culture. In partnership with Mondriaan Fonds, FACT is seeking an artist or curator from the Netherlands to undertake a residency within Studio/Lab at FACT Liverpool. The residency will focus on research and practice development with opportunities for public outcomes in the form of open studios, talks, artist-led events, performances, or screenings.

  • €8,047 subsidy for artists
  • €6,149 for curators or art observers
  • 10% personal contribution required from the selected resident
  • Higher travel cost contributions available for artists based in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom on a case-by-case basis

The residency prioritizes research and practice development in digital art and culture. FACT is especially interested in artists' practices that consider immersive installation, location-based experiences, performance, and sound-based practices that integrate creative technology, as well as practices that critically and playfully explore the interface between the digital and the physical.

Thursday 26 February 2027, before 16.00 (Dutch time zone) / 11.00 (Caribbean time zone). Applications must be submitted in English.

The selection is made by an advisory committee who propose candidates to FACT Liverpool. FACT Liverpool makes the final decision on the participants. An interview may be part of the selection process. Please note that the processing time may exceed three months.
