Get matched →Local and regional artists are invited to participate in The Year of St. Francis, a special silent auction benefiting the St. Francis Foundation. The project commemorates the Franciscan Jubilee Year and the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi.
Participating artists are encouraged to submit work inspired by one or more Franciscan themes, including peace, humility, creation, charity, devotion and fraternity. Artwork may be created specifically for the auction or may be an existing work, but artists will be asked to provide a brief explanation of how the piece connects to the theme.
All artistic media are welcome. Artists may submit up to two works. Submission requires an image of the work, title, medium, dimensions, retail price and artist biography through a submission form provided after commitment to participate.
Artwork must be received no later than October 18, 2026. Works may be delivered to 408 Oak Street, Monroe, Louisiana 71201, or another meeting location may be arranged directly with the Foundation.
The silent auction will take place online through GiveSmart from October 26 through November 10, 2026. Submitted artwork will also be displayed during the St. Francis Foundation's A Night of Gratitude and Grace on the evening of November 10, and participating artists will be invited to attend. Artwork will not be hung during the event, but tables and other display accommodations can be made as needed.
Proceeds from each artwork sold will be divided through a 50/50 split between the artist and the St. Francis Foundation. There are no established minimum or maximum prices for submissions. Following the close of the auction, participating artists who have submitted a completed W-9 can expect payment by check from St. Francis accounting in approximately seven days.
Every listing links to the organizer's official page. Always confirm deadlines, fees, and entry rules there before you apply.
