Overview
PAFA's Alumni Association presents two annual alumni awards—the Distinguished Alumni Award, recognizing outstanding artistic achievement, and the Alumni Service Award, recognizing sustained service to the PAFA community. Recipients are chosen to reflect the diversity of the alumni body.
Awards
The Distinguished Alumni Award, established in 2003, features a bronze reduction of the Winged Victory of Samothrace (Nike), sculpted by longtime PAFA instructor Tony Visco and cast by PAFA students. The Alumni Service Award was established in 2015.
Eligibility
Alumni of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts who have satisfactorily completed at least one academic year of any PAFA degree or certificate-granting program (BFA, MFA, Certificate, Post-Baccalaureate Certificate). Current PAFA students and alumni serving as faculty are not eligible.
How to nominate
Submit nominations through the 2025 Nomination Form by March 17th, 2025.
Presentation
Awards are presented annually during PAFA's Commencement exercises.
