The LOEWE FOUNDATION is calling for applications for the 2027 Craft Prize, to showcase and celebrate newness, excellence and artistic merit in modern craft. An accompanying physical exhibition featuring 30 shortlisted works will take place in Europe during the spring of 2027.

  • Professional artisans worldwide
  • 18 years or older
  • Individuals or collectives welcome
  • Work must be original and at least partially handmade
  • Created within the past five years
  • Cannot have received previous awards

Applied arts covering disciplines from bookbinding and ceramics to leatherwork and metal.

  • Winner: €50,000 (single piece or series)
  • Special Mention: €5,000 per honoree

Winner and Finalists will be included in the exhibition 'LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2027' and its accompanying catalogue, on view in Europe in the spring of 2027. All Finalists, if required, agree to be present at this event and must be able to fulfil press requests if any. The LOEWE FOUNDATION will assume travel and accommodation expenses.
