Art in Public Space Tyrol 2027 invites artistic interventions, performances, and sound works exploring the theme PERFORMING ENVIRONMENTS. Projects should connect their physical environment with collective memory and subjective narratives, using the public space—whether rural or urban—not merely as a stage but as an active participant. The program seeks new perspectives on the interplay of body, space, and identity.

  • Submission deadline: Friday, August 14, 2026, 00:00
  • Projects must be realized between March and November 2027
  • Projects must use the call text as a starting point and thematic framework
  • Projects must be implemented in Tyrol in public rural or urban space and engage with the specific characteristics of the chosen location
  • After jury approval, obtaining necessary permits and securing host municipality consent is required; applicants are responsible for permit acquisition
  • Excluded: retroactive funding or purchase of already-realized artworks, classical 'art in architecture' projects, publications not part of a project, or public events like concerts or theater without thematic connection to the funding program
  • Total budget: EUR 80,000
  • Up to three projects will be selected for realization
  • State funding can cover up to 100% of eligible project costs
