About Rhizome
For over 20 years, Rhizome has advanced visual arts as a lever for emancipation, creation, and social connection within MJC André Philip. The organization is grounded in accessible pedagogy for amateur practitioners, strong territorial anchoring with residents and local structures, and ongoing dialogue with contemporary art and contemporary artists. Each season, an artist residency enriches the broader program, inspiring workshops, giving meaning to mediation work, and unifying the team around a shared theme. Rhizome holds municipal delegation for artistic programming at Château des Charmettes and is recognized by Seine-et-Marne Department as a visual arts resource venue.
