TaDA – Textile and Design Alliance is calling for applications for their Artist in Residence Programme in Arbon, Switzerland. TaDA is a cultural promotion programme of the cantons of St. Gallen, Appenzell Ausserrhoden, and Thurgau that enables experimental and innovative engagement with textile and design culture of Eastern Switzerland in collaboration with textile companies rooted in the region.

Residents may choose between April to June 2027 or September to November 2027.

TaDA annually offers 6 national and international personalities a work residency. The residency is aimed at creatives and artists from all disciplines with a demonstrated interest in textile industry, textile culture, and sustainability. Basic technical knowledge of textile production is an advantage. Projects with a pronounced experimental approach are particularly welcome.

Residents develop projects in the fields of art, design, architecture, literature, performing arts, or in interdisciplinary contexts.

  • Professional advice and exchange with 12 partner companies and organisations, selective use of their infrastructure
