Opened in 2011 by local artist Rose Hatcher, the Fish Factory has provided a forum for both Cornish emerging artists and international collaborators working in challenging and diverse mediums from interactive installations, murals, photo-montage, printmaking, music and film. The 'Fish' houses studios, an event space/independent gallery, a vegan café, a music shop and a photographic darkroom. These diverse offerings have one thing in common: they flourish in the open and welcoming atmosphere the Fish Factory offers, a definite alternative to the corporate mainstream face of modern art today.
