Skip to content Lands, Capital & Housing Housing Musqueam’s housing department manages all activities related to housing, including managing the housing priority list and social housing stock, administration for renovations and new construction, helping our Elders and people with disabilities maintain their homes, provide emergency repair and maintenance support, and develop, update, and implement housing policies. Housing Resources and Reminders Reminder for social housing and section 95 tenants: Musqueam Housing must be informed about any tenants moving in or out of your residence, per the signed rental agreement. Recently, Musqueam has experienced a sewer backup due to grease build up in the sewer lines. Please do not put grease or oil down your drain. Kitchen Appliance Maintenance Tips & Info Paying rent Each tenant is responsible for contributing towards the monthly rent. Rent is due on the first of each month. Rent is collected on Monday afternoons, or call 604-269-3381 to meet at the band office. The acceptable forms of payment are: Cash Money order Cheque Pre-authorized debit (PAD) E-transfer: [email protected] (include your name and address) payroll deduction for Musqueam Indian Band Employees We encourage e-transfers or PAD to decrease the risk of COVID-19 transmission. Musqueam Community Rental Complex (MCRC) The Musqueam Community Rental Complex (MCRC) is a multi-family affordable housing project located at 6390 Crown Place, Crown Place in Musqueam Reserve. The project will create 37 new rental units for Musqueam members and their families, and a new daycare centre for up to 28 children. To qualify to be an MCRC tenant, at least one member of the household must be a Musqueam member. Eligibility will be based on BC Housing’s income limits, and rent will be based on 30% of gross household income. Units will be assigned by household size. Applications will be separate from the housing priority list. Members can apply for both lists. We are still in the planning phase of this project. Construction and policy development has not started, which means the application process is not defined yet.
