This introductory watercolor course is designed for adults who want to build a strong foundation in watercolor techniques while exploring a range of artistic styles and subjects. Students will learn essential skills such as color mixing, brush control, washes, layering, and creating depth through transparent and opaque applications. Throughout the course, these techniques will be applied to a variety of projects, including portraiture, landscape, still life, and non-representational compositions.

Each project is inspired by contemporary artists who use watercolor in both traditional and experimental ways, encouraging students to expand their understanding of the medium. Emphasis is placed on developing confidence, observational skills, and creating visual hierarchies and depth in student work.
