Together, you'll use basic sculpting and hand-building methods to transform raw clay into an expressive, functional face mug that carries its own story. No prior experience necessary.
Dominique Maru is an embodied artist and spatial steward born and based in metro Atlanta. As a descendant of the diaspora, their work contends with the grief and memory of rupture and the rich medicine built to tend to those wounds. Using everything from movement to poetry, photography, and clay, their work is an exploration of ancestral self-portraiture and present conjuring of somatic memories using earth and body as synonyms.
