Overview
The Dordogne Department Cultural Agency and the City of Terrasson invite a visual artist to participate in an 8-week creative research and production residency between autumn 2026 and autumn 2027. The artist will explore the geographic, architectural, and sociological relationship between two sides of Terrasson separated by the Vézère river, with emphasis on community engagement and public space work.
Location & Accommodation
Terrasson-Lavilledieu, Dordogne. A furnished apartment will be provided with utilities (water, electricity, rental charges) included.
Residency Structure
The 8-week residency includes 2 weeks dedicated to cultural actions and is organized in three phases: immersion, research and creation; encounters and exchanges with the public; public presentation of residency research and outcomes.
Award & Budget
The residency award is 10,000 EUR. The budget covers research, production and technical costs, copyrights, travel and meal expenses related to cultural actions, mediation activities and art practice workshops, as well as dissemination, coordination, communication and promotion.
