This grant supports art activities in which people from various social environments can participate together and demonstrate their creativity while respecting each other's individuality, as well as activities that address various social and urban issues utilizing the characteristics of art and culture.

In FY 2026, support will be focused on projects that address disparities in art appreciation and experience opportunities for children.

  • Activities allowing people (especially children) with limited opportunities to experience arts due to their social environment to engage in artistic experiences such as appreciation and creation
  • Artistic activities in which the applicant group addresses social issues through cooperation and collaboration with various people and organizations
  • Creative artistic activities: Performances, exhibitions, workshops, etc. (any field of art)
  • Environmental improvement activities: Human resource development, research, technology development, archiving, etc. with concomitant disclosure of results

Tokyo-based arts organizations, intermediate support groups, welfare organizations, NPOs, etc. with headquarters or head offices in Tokyo. For projects to eliminate disparities in children's art appreciation and experience opportunities, foundations or private companies operating public theaters, public halls, etc. may serve as sponsors or co-sponsors.

Up to 2 million yen, covering up to 2/3 of subsidized expenses. Consumption tax and local consumption tax are not subsidized.

In Tokyo or overseas, including online publication.
