Get matched →Lassana Sarre is a visual artist working primarily in painting. His practice explores memory, transmission, and representation, weaving personal histories into collective narratives. Moving between painting and writing, he sets lived experience in dialogue with art history, leaving gestures visible, traces exposed, and surfaces unfinished, so that each canvas becomes a space of tension and presence rather than resolution.
During his residency at PART, Lassana Sarre will extend a body of research developed with museum guards and security staff at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, moving between painting and writing to explore presence, visibility, and the stories carried by bodies that remain essential yet often unnoticed.
