Overview
Center for the Arts Evergreen (CAE) is seeking artists for its Artist-in-Residence program, offering emerging and established artists the opportunity to foster creativity and community engagement while developing new works and works-in-progress. Eligible artistic disciplines include drawing, painting, sculpture, dance, photography, film, video, new media, installation, fiction and nonfiction writing, music, spoken word/poetry, and interdisciplinary work.

Application Requirements
- Residency Plan: Describe what you hope to accomplish, how you will utilize your time, why CAE is important to you, and the impact on your artwork
- Public Engagement Plan: Design a community-accessible component (open studio, workshop, presentation, works-in-progress showing, or community project) that connects to your residency and engages the local and broader community
- Medium Practice: Explain the specific materials, techniques, and how you explore and develop your skills with that medium
- Portfolio: Submit 3–20 assets (minimum 3 images, maximum 10 images; 0–5 audio files; 0–5 video files)
- 2 Letters of Recommendation: Must speak to your professional proficiency and character
Eligibility
Open to emerging and established artists nationally. Media that produce toxic fumes and artwork involving continuous loud noise are not permitted. Artists working with digital media must bring their own equipment.
