Get matched →ArtVilnius, the first and largest contemporary art fair in the Baltic region, announces an open call for applications for its 17th edition. The fair invites galleries and artists from across Europe and beyond to participate in ArtVilnius’26, which will take place from October 1–4, with a VIP Preview on October 1.
The fair is located just 15 minutes from Vilnius city centre at LITEXPO, Lithuania’s primary exhibition venue. It offers a 12,000-square-metre indoor and outdoor space, spanning three halls and outdoor areas, providing flexible architectural layouts and efficient logistics.
Galleries are invited to apply to present artworks in customisable stands ranging from 30 to 50 square metres. Applications will be reviewed by a jury of art critics and art market professionals, who will select approximately 70 galleries. Special conditions are available for emerging galleries operating for fewer than three years, as well as for galleries from Poland and Austria. The Gallery selection committee includes Marta Kołakowska (Director, LETO Gallery, Warsaw), Sonata Baliuckaitė Arlauskienė (Artistic Director, ArtVilnius), and Jurgita Juospaitytė Bitinienė (Director, The Rooster Gallery, Vilnius).
Individual artists are invited to propose projects for inclusion in the annual group exhibition The Path / Takas. This exhibition focuses on sculpture, performance, and installation and is curated annually. This year’s curator is Aliaksei Barysionak, a curator and writer based in Vienna.
The ArtVilnius’26 Project Zone, curated by Neringa Bumblienė, will present a special focus on the contemporary art scenes of Vilnius, Vienna, and Warsaw. This initiative fosters cross-regional exchange and supports the international visibility of artistic practices, connecting art scenes of three capitals with distinct histories, artists, and institutions, and revealing unexpected connections, contrasts, and shared concerns.
