Overview

The Foundation European Capital of Culture – Skopje 2028 invites artists, cultural organisations, public institutions, universities, creative professionals, civil society organisations, cultural operators, creative industries, community organisations and international partners to submit project proposals for the official cultural programme.

Five Programme Strands

Projects should contribute to one or more of: Art4Hope, Togetherness, rECOvering, CreARTing, Heritage.

Funding Categories

Small-Scale Projects: EUR 3,000–9,999 (smaller artistic, community and participatory initiatives with strong local impact)
Mid-Scale Projects: EUR 10,000–24,999 (collaborative projects with wider public engagement, stronger organisational capacity and international cooperation)
Large-Scale Projects: EUR 25,000–150,000 (major cultural projects of strategic importance; selected through two-stage application procedure)
