About
Overview
This creative and research residency programme is a collaboration between the Institut Français d'Indonésie, Fundação Oriente, and the Cité internationale des arts, designed specifically for artists and researchers from Timor-Leste working across any discipline. The aim is to encourage and facilitate the mobility of Timorese artists and expand their professional and artistic networks. Only one application will be selected for this edition.
Eligibility
- Open to Timorese artists-researchers of all ages
- Applicants must have an artistic or research practice in visual and performance arts, music and sound research, live performance, writing, design, architecture-urbanism, curatorial practice, or art criticism
- Applicants must demonstrate at least 5 years of professional artistic experience
- Applicants must be capable of communicating and engaging in either English or French

Additional Details
- Transport of works or experimental materials will not be covered
- A final report of the experience is required at the end of the residency
- Studios accommodate up to two adults and one child up to 10 years old; additional fees apply for accompanying persons
- The live-in studios do not currently meet accessibility standards for people with disabilities, though the organizers state efforts are being made to address this
