Pairing is Caring is a mentorship program connecting emerging artists with experienced mentors for career support and knowledge sharing. The program focuses on performing arts, performance art, visual arts, digital arts, and multimedia.

  • At least four meetings (at least once per term) with the emerging artist you are mentoring
  • Attendance at the webinar and matchmaking event on 14 September and 14 October

As a mentor, you'll help with individual enquiries including: new contacts, grants, remuneration, space, and career path guidance.

  • Registration deadline: 1 September 2026
  • Online webinar for selected mentors: 14 September 2026 (1 hour)
  • Mentor-artist matching event: 14 October 2026 at La Vallée, Brussels

The number of mentors selected will depend on the number of applications from emerging artists. Mentors are selected by colleagues from NICC, Flanders Arts Institute, and The Gap.
