Otto Mauer Prize recognises an outstanding body of work in visual art that innovatively connects artistic and social discourse, including painting, graphic art, sculpture, installation, object art and new media. Who can apply: Artists with Austrian citizenship or who have been permanently resident in Austria for at least five years. Applicants must be born in 1981 or later. Artist groups may apply, with the age requirement applying to every member. What you get: €15,000 prize money, an exhibition at JesuitenFoyer in Vienna, and extensive press and publicity. The Otto Mauer Fonds also intends to acquire a representative work by the winner.
