French–Australian Resonance Grants in performing and visual arts 2026

Overview

The French–Australian Cultural Exchange Foundation (FACEF) is calling for applications for the Resonance Grants in both Performing Arts and Visual Arts. These grants allow mid-scale institutions and artists to connect through meaningful exchanges that grow the French and Australian sectors and foster collaborations, with a focus on public outcomes.

Eligible Projects – Performing Arts

• Creative research and development of new performing arts works
• Presentation of performing arts works
• Showcases, forums, and public performances
• Artist residencies and cross-cultural collaborations
• Community engagement and participatory projects
• Professional development, mentorships, and workshops

Eligible Projects – Visual Arts

• Solo exhibitions
• Group exhibitions
• Touring exhibitions
• Public commissions
• Residency projects
• Artistic publications

Key Dates

• Application deadline: 25 September 2026
• Projects must take place in the 18 months after notification

Eligibility

• French organisations collaborating with an Australian organisation, or Australian professional practitioners
• Australian organisations collaborating with a French organisation, or French professional practitioners

Support

Applicants can apply for a maximum of 20,000 AUD per project.
