Overview

Opportunities are available to exhibit in the gallery at the Walters Cultural Art Center for two-month exhibitions in the upcoming 2027-2028 gallery season. Artists of all ages and abilities, as well as organizations with an arts, culture, and/or educational focus are encouraged to apply. The Walters Cultural Arts Center is a visual arts, performance, arts education, and cultural facility in downtown Hillsboro. Exhibitions can feature both 2D and 3D works focusing on highlighting artists, artwork, and the culture of Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.

Gallery Spaces

The Walters Gallery consists of two distinct spaces: the upstairs gallery on the second floor hosting workshops, meetings, and events, and the lower-level gallery space near active classrooms and studios. Exhibitions may span both spaces or be presented solely in the upstairs gallery.

Exhibition Types

Individual artists may be grouped together with other artists or exhibit displays of similar media or concepts, or may be selected to exhibit a standalone exhibit.

  • Open to artists of all ages and abilities
  • Arts, cultural, and educational organizations welcome
  • All media and exhibit modalities considered
  • Priority given to artists and organizations based in Hillsboro and Washington County
