About
Overview
The Aurora Artists Guild, in partnership with the City of Aurora, Aurora Public Library, and Central Library, presents the 31st Annual Gateway to the Rockies Art Show & Sale. The show features three categories: photography, two-dimensional art, and miniatures. A reception will be held Saturday, November 7th from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, with an awards ceremony at 4:00 pm.

- Entry opens: July 1, 2026
- Submission deadline: September 14, 2026
- Acceptance notices emailed: On or before September 30, 2026
- Take-in for accepted artwork: October 31, 2026, 10 am – Noon
- Show opens: November 6, 2026
- Reception & Awards: Saturday, November 7, 3:00–5:00 pm (Awards Ceremony at 4:00 pm)
- Take-in for Bin Work: Saturday, November 7, 10:30 am–2:30 pm
- Exhibit closes: December 4, 2026
- Pick-up for artwork: December 5, 2026, Noon–2 pm
Eligibility
Open to all artists 18 years or older. All artwork must have been completed within the last 5 years. Works shown at any previous Gateway Art Show will not be accepted. Artwork must be original and not copied from copyrighted material or photographs, except those taken by the artist.
Categories & Submissions
Artists may submit up to 3 images per category (minimum 3 images per category if entering). Maximum total entries: 9 (3 from each category). Two-Dimensional and Photography artwork must be hand-delivered to Central Library. Miniature artwork may be mailed; mailing instructions are in the prospectus.
Entry Fee
- $45.00 for 3 images
- $5 per additional image after the first three
- AAG members: $10.00 discount coupon (deducted from $45.00)
- All entry fees are non-refundable

How to Enter
All entries must be made through CaFE™ website (www.callforentry.org). There is no cost to enter through CaFE™; the only cost is the entry fee. By submitting work, artists agree that accepted work will be available during the exhibition dates and that they will hand-deliver and pick up work as specified (mailed miniatures exempt). Accepted artwork cannot be changed in any way after entry to CaFE™.
