An open call program for solo exhibition projects for artists 35 years old or younger who are based in Japan. Selected artists receive exhibitions at TOKAS Hongo and support for establishing networks for future creative activities.
An award for mid-career contemporary artists keen to work internationally. Winners are selected by international selection committee recommendation and open call competition, receiving prize money, long-term international support, an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, and a monograph publication.
International and Japanese creators working in various fields participate in residency periods at TOKAS Residency or affiliated overseas programs to create works and conduct research. Participants are chosen from annual open call competition.
This program solicits applications on an open basis to provide a platform for ambitious projects creating new forms of artistic expression in all genres. Selected projects are exhibited and performed, with one additional project implemented by TOKAS recommendation.
