Activity must take place between the first of the month following award date and June 30 (end of State Fiscal Year).

Artistic quality must be demonstrated by a work sample. If the artistic activity meets high standards of excellence, the application will be further reviewed according to the following standards: the merit of the proposed opportunity, determined by how the proposed activity relates to your professional development and its anticipated impact on your work or the development of your career. For arts administrators, the impact on your organization and/or community must be shown; the financial feasibility of the proposal, demonstrated by a budget that realistically reflects costs associated with the project; previous contribution and involvement of the artist/arts administrator in Alaska based on resume.
